Odinakachi Okoroafor’s mixed media practice explores identity, memory, and cultural experience through layered compositions built from line, pattern, and texture. Working across painting, silkscreen, and image transfer, his work draws on everyday life and personal histories to examine the Black body as a site of resilience and collective meaning.

Based in Enugu, Nigeria, Okoroafor’s visual language references barcodes, palmistry marks, and intricate motifs, reflecting how identity moves between tradition and modern systems of data and representation. Informed by his training at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, his works balance structure with intuition, merging abstraction and figuration to create images that feel both intimate and expansive.
