Loud Youth Projects opens its doors for the first time in London, UK in the prestigious Soho neighbourhood, presenting a vibrant body of contemporary paintings from three rising stars from Nigeria: Damilola "DAOK" Okhoya; Raymond Akenbor Eghosa and Toju Clarke.
Damilola "DAOK" Okhoya presents his new series of works titled "A Box Theory of Life"
The series is influenced by the human experience and the youth of Nigeria. The notion of living a preconditioned life and somehow it just arrives on you with all its layered components and complexities of life in modern day Nigeria - housing; transport; education; religion and work.
"Life creates boxes that we tick as time goes on and living “a box life” can creep up on you figuratively and metaphorically even without you realising."
